Home Run Derby in New York

Edwin Encarnacion struts his parrot walk around the bases after returning to the team tonight. After spending a month on the injured list, the designated hitter was among many who stepped up to the plate for homers deep into the outfield. The heavy hitters included Brett Gardner, Gary Sanchez and Didi Gregorious.

The only restrictions in New York would come from the Texas Rangers who had no answer for Paxton who struck them out looking. Yankees pitcher James Paxton tied his previous record with 11 strikeouts in 5 innings. All of this feedback comes as a returned favor after the Rangers left the Yankees scoreless in last nights game 7-0.

New York finishes on top (final 10-1). With only one game left in this series, the club prepares for the challenges ahead facing their rivals the Boston Red Sox on Friday September 6, 2019.
